The Power of Finding What You Love To Do

Success in life and business is a journey that starts with having the courage to follow your intuition and passion and do what you love. The only way you will ever be satisfied in your business is to do what you believe is great work. In 2005, Steve Jobs, co-founder and CEO of Apple, gave a powerful address for the Stanford University graduation commencement to inspire a new generation of graduates and thinkers to be successful doers. Jobs ended his speech with four small but extremely stirring words, “stay hungry, stay foolish.”  And that makes all the difference.

Take a few minutes to watch the Steve Jobs address. His story will motivate and inspire you to take risks, connect the dots and discover what you love to do. Success starts with following your heart.

Follow Your Heart – Have the courage to follow your intuitions and heart. Curiosity is priceless. If you haven’t found what you love to do, keep looking. You will know in your heart when you find it. Your heart and intuition knows what you truly want to become.

Develop the Ability to Connect Dots – Have trust in your intuition, your destiny, your karma. Believing the dots will connect in your future will give you the confidence to follow your heart, and that will make all the difference.

Taking Calculated Risks – Love and Loss – Find what you love and follow your passion. Let loss be an inspiration to start over, take risks and follow what you love. Be encouraged by the lightness of new beginnings and the freedom to be creative. When life hits you in the head, don’t lose faith.

Do the Very Best Every Day – If you live your life like it was your last, some day you will be right. So live like this is your last day, and consider the value of what you are doing. The only way you will be satisfied in business is to do what you believe is great work, which is derived from doing what you love. If you don’t, you have to change.

Avoid Traps – Avoid negative traps, and hourly work speed bumps.  Your time is limited at work and in life, so don’t waste it. Don’t be trapped by living with the results of other people’s thinking.  Don’t lose your inner voice.

Do The Right Thing – Do what is 100% right. Focus on small things and keep going back to basics. The secret to success is doing basic right every day. Doing the right thing requires thinking. Do it boldly, and do as you believe and as you are.

Purpose of Business – The purpose of business is to serve people. Offer solutions that can help solve problems and shy away from waste. A company will not survive if it does not offer value to a customer, so create a product that your competitors can’t.

Put Good Ideas into Practice – Establish a high level of excellence and put your ideas into practice every day. Good ideas and follow through lead to greatness.

Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish –  Keep learning.. Don’t live in your comfort zone. Learning does require very modest attitude.
